Browntop Millet
Davangere & Chitradurga, Karnataka
Rarest indigenous sacred millet. Deep olive-brown hue, gut-nourishing.
Why this browntop millet?
We selected this browntop millet after considering the place it came from, the growing conditions surrounding the crop, its physical character and, importantly, the way it performs in the kitchen.
Because provenance means very little if the food itself isn't exceptional.
It begins with a place.
Sourced from the drylands of Davangere and Chitradurga, Karnataka — a region where millet farming has long been part of the agricultural tradition. The warm, semi-arid landscape and rainfed conditions are naturally suited to hardy grains, giving our millets their distinctive character.
